Mesjib of Kufa, Iraq (Built in 639 AD)

Great Mosque of Kufa, or also called Al-Azam Mosque located in Kufa, Iraq, is one of the oldest mosques in the world. Built in the 7th century, this mosque is the work of a blend of Muslim bin 'Aqil (nephew of Imam Hussein), Hani ibn' Urwa, and Mukhtar al-Thaqafī. This vast mosque alone reached almost 11,000 square meters, in which there are nine graves, four towers and five gates.
