Ancient Sacred Valley in Lebanon

Valley is a sacred place of dwelling of the most major Christian monks in early Christian times in the world. A large number of very ancient old monastery, situated in the middle of the curve conspicuous valley, surrounded by mountains of Lebanon, high-quality timber forest products used as building material around an ancient religious moment. The sacred valley is the deepest valley and is one of the most beautiful valleys in Lebanon, is a tranquil park that is unaffected by the outside world. At the bottom of the valley flows the river Qadisha derived from sacred foot of the mountain pine, pine forest above the valley of the famous towering snow peaks of the highest mountain in the sea on the Lebanese border.

"Qadisha", which means it is the sacred word is derived from the family of languages Shan tribe, because it's meaning is of Wadi Qadisha sacred valley. In the midst of the valley there are a number of natural caves and stone houses set up man, since the 3rd century BC until the Roman Empire, these buildings occupied by humans. Moreover, in the middle of the valley spread out even a small number of churches, temples and monasteries made of stone.

Since the beginning of the Middle Ages, this location has become a shelter of monks, ascetics, and Daoist who purify themselves. Devout followers of this religion that does not belong to the same sect, most of the religious sect is formed based on knowledge that is not the same at the nature of Christ, among them there are the teachings of Christ religious sect, type the message of Christ and the group of Christ and so on. At that time, the valley was inhabited a large number of followers, even among followers of religions including Islam. People here communicate in various languages, there are Greek, Arabic, and Ethiopic, etc.. Sacred valley splits into two, each section is divided according to class each monastery.

From the beginning, Christianity is a gathering place of monks. The trees in the mountains and forests of Lebanon are the property sacred forests remaining, it also is building a very valuable ancient relics. The monastery is an example of the sacred valley and most important remaining reflecting the fundamental Christian doctrine.
