Lake Malawi (Africa)
Lake Malawi is also known as Lake Nyasa in most countries, or Lake Nyassa, Lake Niassa, or Lago Niassa in Mozambique. The lake is situated between Malawi, Mozambique, and Tanzania and known as the lake has more fish habitat from a variety of tropical waters than any other lake on Earth.
Lake Malawi or Lake Nyaza has a depth of 706 meters with a total lake surface area of approximately 29,600 square kilometers. This lake has a coastline of western Mozambique, eastern Malawi, and Tanzania south. It has a freshwater lake flows into the Shire River, a tributary that flows into the Zambezi River is very large.
Lake Malawi or Nyaza alone is estimated at least around 40,000 years old
