Smallest Snake Species Discovered onBarbados

               
The world's smallest snake no bigger than an earthworm. Body lengthas adults no more than 10 cm.
Evolutionary biologist at Pennsylvania State University, U.S., S BlairHedges, discovered the species in Barbados, the easternmost islandin the Caribbean. The findings will be published in the journal Zootaxaedition of Monday (4 / 8) as a new species with the nameLeptotyphlops carlae taken from the name of Carla Ann Hassherpetolog wife who happens to Hedges. Behavior and ecological life is still not well known. However, Hedgeshas ensured physiologically and genetically different from the 3100types of snakes that have been found all over the world.
Brown snakes that prey on insects and termites and including snakesare not poisonous. Hedges found him behind the rocks near a woodedarea. Snakes are classified groups worm snake commonly found intropical areas. He might be kind of rare and endangered species.
