Discovered in 1274 during the reign of Prussia, brick castle is situatedin the south of the river Nogat. Previously named Marienburg Castle is the headquarters group san. Has been extended several times by the host according to the number of knights and became the largest gothicbuilding in the whole of Europe.The castle consists of three separate sections, the top, Tengan, andseparated under dry moat and towers.  
The building was once inhabited by about - about 3,000 troops to the wall area reached 210,000 squaremeters, four times bigger than Windsor Castle.World War II that occurred in 1945 has destroyed nearly half of the building. A fire in 1959 caused the damage becomes more severe.The main cathedral in ruins - ruins. The castle was rebuilt in 1962.source: kaskus.us
