Monuments General Offensive March 1 stood side by side withVredeburg. Objective of establishing in accordance with its name which is to commemorate the events of military raids against the Dutchcolonists on March 1, 1949. The purpose of these attacks is to show the world that Indonesia is through the military led by Lieutenant ColonelSuharto and Indonesia's success in beating the Netherlands finallybreak the morale to carry out the Dutch who are the talks in the UNSecurity Council PBB. Why Indonesia trying to hold the resistance on March 1, 1949 in the city of Jogjakarta? Because the capital of the Republic of Indonesia at that time was Jogjakarta, so it will be of great importance if Indonesia isto seize and control of Yogyakarta as the capital of the state back.
