Cave Jomblang
It's not an easy matter to reach the bottom of a vertical cave deep as 40meters. But for those who dare and like the challenge, of course this has become its own preoccupations. People who are unfamiliar with the vertical cave should get the course SRT (Single Rope Technique),the technique down and up the field vertically with the path string, because just down the rope, cave like this can be traced. "But if youreally dare ya just go straight down, although still accompanied us,"says ASC Uci from Yogyakarta (Acintyacunyata Speleological Club),the special nature lovers club adventure in the caves. Ropes and safety devices which will be used to down the cave must beensured completely safe. It seems complicated but actually it isstandard procedure that should be done. Uci who have been accustomed to come out of this cave entrance stating that no errors at all in this natural activity. It's really risky but exciting activity. CaveJomblang who have wide enough mouth of the cave is situatedSemanu area, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. At the bottom of the cave there is a fairly dense grove. An amazing phenomenon because the surrounding environment Jomblang Cave isa limestone barren land. From basic cave trip can proceed into the hallway toward the Cave Cave Jomblang Grubug. A vertical cave has alarge cavity with a small cave mouth. This cave has an undergroundriver with a fairly large water discharge. Exactly at 12 noon, the mouth ofthe cave will form a pillar of light from the sun entering perpendicularlyinto the cave. It's really very beautiful scenery and spectacular. Down the Caves Grubug is more challenging because the caver willdown the cave with a rope spinning over 50 feet tall. Both caves areindeed having a scary story for being a place of slaughter PKI activistsin the '60s. In addition to the 90's in Cave Grubug still found the body ofa mysterious shooting victims who deliberately inserted into the cave.Presumably the bodies are the criminals who already do not work anymore in prison.
