Progo river in the valley between two mountains, Sindoro and Cleft. It flows south, splittingthe two provinces, Central Java and Yogyakarta. The current is swift and very volatile, especially during the rainy season. Entry point can be made from several places.
The first point is from Taman Kyai Langgeng in Magelang, the second point TempuranBridge of Magelang District, points to the three bridges Borobudur, Mendut, point to thefour bridges Klangon. End point is usually reached the Dam Ancol, Sleman regency. The total distance Kyai Langgeng Stage, to Dam Ancol Magelang, Yogyakarta, about 40 km.
The most challenging stage is between the bridge and dam Klangon Ancol with travel timeapproximately 3 hours. Each Skipper rapids must be vigilant with a fairly heavy rain,because water levels can rise suddenly and cause massive flooding.
