Peacock Island, a tiny island called the island holy because of the sacred temple complex Umananda. This tiny island in the middle of a vast river Brahmaputra in Assam Province, India. Umananda temple was built in Guwahati in 1594, by the Ahom Kings of Assam.
Among the temples which are in Assam, the temple worship of Lord Shiva is one of the most visitors. To reach the temple, people must cross the river by boat from Kachari ghat. There is also ferry service available from 7 o'clock in the morning until 5 pm in the evening.
